Model Guidelines

Thank you for modeling with us! Please keep these guidelines in mind, as we want the workshops to run smoothly and create an environment that is professional and comfortable for everyone.

Arrival
Please arrive 30 minutes early, so you can get settled in and we can begin promptly.

What to bring

  • Please bring a robe or cover-up, and shoes (like sandals) to wear during breaks when you are not modeling.
  • For nude modeling, please bring a towel, robe, or cloth to sit on.

Posing

  • Please keep poses inspired by classical figure art. Meditation and yoga poses are not the style we are looking for.
  • Poses with your eyes closed should be limited to short poses of 10 minutes or less.
  • Please avoid poses involving cell phones or other electronics, earphones or earbuds, reading, scrolling, or sleeping.

Cancellations
If you cannot make your scheduled session, please let us know as soon as possible, at least 3 days in advance. You are responsible for finding a replacement model. Last-minute cancellations will mean that we will NOT schedule you for future workshops.

Respect for the artists
The artists have paid to attend the workshop, and the artwork they create is their work. If you really like a drawing or
painting of you, please ask the artist if it is for sale rather than asking to have it or take it.

Tips
You are welcome to bring a tip jar for the end of the session. The tip jar should be placed off the stage during the modeling session.

Parking
There is plenty of free street parking and parking in the lot across from the building.
Do not park in the corner lot of Mission and Garey (with the UPS Store). Cars will be towed if parked there and not entering the businesses in their lot).

Thank you for helping us create a welcoming and respectful space for everyone!
